Our Nurse Practitioner

Kimberly (Kym) Catlin is our Family Nurse Practitioner. After serving in the Marines she pursued her passion and began her career in the medical field. She started her journey as a nurse extern at Mother Frances in 2004, progressed to an LVN, an RN, and finally a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2011. Kym graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with both her BSN and her Masters in Nursing. After obtaining her FNP she pursued an opportunity in the state of Idaho. While in Idaho, she found a passion in family practice, urgent care, pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.

Kym has always had a desire to serve her community and individuals that do not have access to high quality care. Her passion began as she watched her Mom care for patients in the emergency room. That passion grew when she was able to experience caring for her own patients as she served as an RN in an emergency room at Mother Frances. As a Nurse Practitioner she saw an unfortunate number of patients that lacked proper health care. She realized her calling was to make a difference by providing her expertise in the nursing field to those in need.

Kym moved back to the East Texas area in early 2018. She is now excited to be able to offer her expertise and services to the community and friends that she so passionately cares about here in East Texas.
